What are the long term costs?

Something to consider when you are purchasing a new instrument, how much are the replacement part costs?  Manufacturing companies are very diverse in their parts department.  Some companies do not make replacement parts at all, some make them but they take a long time to get, and others charge a lot of money for parts that are very small.  There are a few companies that get it right but it is definitely a factor when choosing which instrument you want to play.  You need to weigh the initial cost of the instrument versus the cost of upkeep.  You may save a few hundred dollars on the initial purchase but it may be more than that to maintain over time.  To learn more about our experiences with instrument manufacturers, feel free to contact us.
