Well, it has been a whirlwind of activities the last few days here for North Georgia Band. Michael and Keren attended the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians in Albuquerque, NM. You can learn more about that organization here at www.napbirt.org.
We were very honored to be able to present two clinics to help other Repair Technicians in the country continue their professional development. We were also able to attend other clinics and get the latest tips and tricks of the trade. Another bonus were the vendors in the exhibit hall. We got to see the latest tooling and new models of instruments from the manufacturers.
Lastly, Michael received a great honor by being elected to the Region 3 Chair for the organization, which encompasses all of Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi. He will also serve on the executive board as the Treasurer. It’s quite an exciting time here at North Georgia Band. Keep checking back because who knows what the future holds?
